This listing is for a young rooted starter plant, not the mature specimen in the first photo. That photo shows what Miranda becomes with time and light. What ships to you is a small, established, actively growing plant in a 2-inch or 3-inch nursery pot, depending on the size you select. The later photos show plants from current stock.

WHY MIRANDA

Miranda is a vigorous hybrid with big speckled red and green pitchers and a climbing habit. It is what people pick when they want a Nepenthes that actually does something in a reasonable amount of time. On a bright shelf it stays compact. Given room and light, it climbs and hangs traps.

It is also forgiving. Miranda handles normal household conditions better than most tropical pitcher plants, so it works as a real houseplant rather than a terrarium-only project.

CARE

Light: bright light or strong filtered light indoors. More light means better pitcher color.

Water: distilled, rain, or reverse-osmosis water only. Minerals in tap water damage the roots over time.

Medium: keep it lightly moist, never waterlogged. Nepenthes want an airy mix such as sphagnum and perlite, not standard potting soil.

Feeding: none needed. Do not use regular houseplant fertilizer.

Starter plants vary in pitcher count, leaf size, and color depending on the season and recent growth. Every plant ships rooted, actively growing, and selected in healthy condition. Yours will not be identical to any single photo.

SHIPPING AND ARRIVAL

Plants are packed to protect the pitchers and root ball in transit. Please open the package promptly and put the plant back into bright light.

Some travel stress is normal. Dried or dropped pitchers do not mean the plant is unhealthy. The leaves are what matter, and new pitchers form once it settles in.

owner did a great job shipping it! watered them before packing it and taping a dome over the pot, along with plenty of cardboard mesh to cushion it. didn't ship with pitchers sadly, but that's ok, I'm sure it'll start putting pitchers out soon. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this shop for more great deals, cuz I gotta say the price on these were incredible.
